Beth Mayer

Beth Mayer is the newest addition to the Nature of Fire Team and is joining the team to focus on Young Adult Ministry!  Beth's path to ministry is a bit unusual.  She has a teaching certification for PreK-4 general education and K-8 special education along with a Master's of Education in Applied Behavior Analysis.  Upon graduation, Beth started working in special education and spent 6 years as a special education teacher, 4 of those years running the Middle School Emotional Support Program for a local, top-rated Pittsburgh school district. In spring of May 2021, Beth received an invitation to work for University Christian Outreach (UCO), a college ministry with a chapter at the University of Pittsburgh.  With a direct call from the Lord, Beth said "yes" to that invitation and spent three years working as the UCO Pittsburgh chapter Women's Director. As Beth's time with UCO was coming to an end, Beth and Tony connected about the possibility of Beth joining the Nature of Fire team. Beth took the offer to prayer and heard another call from the Lord to stay in ministry.
